This might not be the healthiest thing on this blog, and you might be asking why the heck I’m showing you how to make pizza. Well, this pizza is homemade so it doesn’t have all those preservatives that frozen pizzas do. That way, when you’re craving a pizza, you don’t have to go and order one from dominos or get a frozen one from the grocery. Whats the best part about this pizza you might ask? That it takes no time at all to make and takes hardly any ingredients! Pizza dough usually has to sit out and rise for a long while before you can even start your prep for cooking, this recipe is the opposite. All you do it make it and then you can immediately put it on the pan, decorate, and bake! From start to finish, you can be done in under 30 minutes.
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
2 1/2 cups wheat bread flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water.
Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes. (use this time to shred cheeses and prepare toppings).
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly oiled pizza pan(olive oil). Spread with desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.
